Pimp My Ride! DP Ruto Unveils Six-wheeled Campaign Truck (Photos)

In Kenya, the election season is defined by a variety of campaign tactics, from eye-catching vehicles to unusual modifications on cars.

In order to market their policies and manifestos to Kenyans, Azimio la Umoja Coalition and Kenya Kwanza brigades are in a fierce competition.

The race between William Ruto, a candidate for the Kenya Kwanza brigade, and Raila Odinga, who is leading the Azimio la Umoja Coalition Party, is extremely heated.

A distinctive automobile has drawn Kenyans’ attention in this contest and has left tongues wagging.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party logo is displayed on a six-wheel vehicle that also bears decals of DP Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua.

The car has been modified such that the driver’s door opens up instead of outwards.

Taking to social media, the presidential hopeful thanked the artist behind the specular art work.

“Indeed Every Hustle Matters. Pimp My Ride: Creativity at its best. Thank you for your contribution to the Hustler Nation Campaign,” Ruto wrote.

Earlier this week, former prime minister Raila Odinga said he will probe Dr Ruto’s source of wealth should he ascend to power after the August polls.

Raila claimed that the DP illegally acquired 5,000 acres of land in Taveta Sub County.

“He insists that Criticos had trouble paying back a loan, and he helped him.” Criticos granted him 2,500 acres in exchange. Is 2,500 acres an insignificant amount of land?” posed Raila.

“Why didn’t he buy land from tens of thousands of landlords in this area and then distribute it to squatters?”

The land, he insisted, will be returned to its rightful owner (government) once he forms the next administration.
