Two Break into Musalia’s Karen Home, Steal TV, Gas Cylinder

Police are probing a burglary at Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s Karen home.

According to the police, two thugs broke into the well-guarded home on Sunday and made away with a 40-inch tv set and gas cylinder.

A review of the CCTV footage shows that the duo scaled the perimeter wall at around 4.30 PM. One of them managed to cover one of the cameras with a plastic object hence concealing his identity.

They then made their way into some of the rooms, which the police say had not been attended for long, from which the took the said valuables.

“These are unattended rooms but we suspect an inside job for the burglary. No injury was reported,” a police officer privy to the goings-on said.

Moses Mudavadi, the son of the former deputy prime minister, told the police that one of their domestic workers informed him about the missing items.

It is then that they prompted the police.

The CS and his wife, Tessie, were not at home at time the incident took place. Moses was, however, in a separate room, but did not realize there were intruders until he received word from the worker.

“The electric fence was not serviceable at the time of the incident. This points to someone who knew all the happenings there,” police said.
