President Ruto Rewards Poll Losers with State Jobs

President William Ruto has rewarded loyalists who lost in the August 9 polls.

Jack Ranguma, Cleophas Lagat, Nelson Havi, Daniel Rono, Yusuf Chanzu, Sakwa Bunyasi, Lily Ng’ok, and Beatrice Kones have all landed state jobs.

Former Westlands MP aspirant and lawyer, Havi will now be a member of the Retirement Benefits Authority board, while former Vihiga MP Yusuf Chanzu will be the chair of the National Housing Corporation board.

The head of state appointed former Kisumu Governor Ranguma as chair and board member of Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (Sasra).

Bunyasi has been appointed chairperson Vision 2030 Delivery board while Rono has been appointed the chairperson of Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (Kemsa) board, for a period of three years.

Rono takes Mary Chao Mwadime’s place. She had been appointed by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta in April 2021 for a period of three years.

David Maina will replace Anthony Njoroge as the Chairperson of the New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited Board, for a period of three (3) years.

At Northern Water Works Development Agency, Dr Ruto has revoked the appointments of Shaban Ali Isaak, Abdirahman Haji Yare, Suleiman Ali Gufu, Khadija Abdulahi and Raphaella Lentoimanga.

In the new changes, Nasri Sahal has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Northern Water Works Development Agency, until July 4, 2025.

John Lekuton, Elias Shill, Christine Jepkoech and Osman Abdi Sirat have been appointed as members of the Board of Directors of Northern Water Works Development Agency.

David Muthoga has also been replaced by James Gathaka as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Tana Water Works Development Agency.

William Ole Maiyani has been replaced by Regina Ndambuki as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Tanathi WaterWorks Development Agency.

Former Nation Media Group CEO Linus Gitahi has been replaced by former Nandi Governor Cleophas Lagat as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Rivatex EastAfrica Limited.

Lily Ng’ok has replaced Muthoni Kimani as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Industrial Estates for a period of three years.

Edick Omondi Anyanga is the new the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority, replacing  Stephen Mwangi Karanja.

Hussein Tene has replaced Capt. Paul Rukaria as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya National Trading Corporation for three years.

Former Vihiga MP Yusuf Chanzu has been appointed as Chairperson of the National Housing Corporation, replacing Ben Gituku.

Charles Muriuki has been appointed as  Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Consolidated Bank Limited, replacing  Peter Musei Ntoyian.

Robert Theuri is the new Chairperson of the Kenya National Library Services Board, for a period of two years, replacing  Omar Jibril Mohamed.
