Malala To Lead March to Raila’s Karen Home on Monday

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) secretary general Cleophas Malala has threatened to lead demonstrations at opposition leader Raila Odinga’s Karen home.

The former Kakamega senator said President William Ruto’s supporters will camp at the opposition chief’s residence on Monday.

Malala asked Raila’s spouse, Ida Odinga, to prepare refreshments for those who will show up for the protests.

“So, you Raila we have told you that since you have said you will be demonstrating to State House, I as the secretary general will also take our party members to demonstrate to your home in Karen as you go to disturb our president in State House,” said Malala on Friday in Machakos.

“We are telling Ida Odinga, to prepare enough tea and ugali. If you think you have the people, you will see the government has more people than you,” he stated.

Noting that the State House was heavily guarded, Malala insisted that the march to the former prime minister’s home will be peaceful.

“Let him prepare, and he should know that State House has GSU, Recce and military. Raila, who do you have in your home,” he said.

He urged the Kamba nation not to show up for the demos which will be led by their kingpin and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

“You shouldn’t be cheated to join a party that won’t support the government. If Ruto was chased out of government, contested against the system, deep state, dynasties and the entire government, military, and chiefs and defeated all of them while out of power,” he said.

“Now that he is the president, he has the police and chiefs, do you think he can be defeated in 2027 while in power?”

Raila will on Monday lead mass protests in Nairobi.
