Kioni, Murathe Expelled from Jubilee Party

East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) lawmaker Kanini Kega has announced the expulsion of Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, and Vice Chairman David Murathe from the Jubilee party.

Kega on Friday said the National Executive Council (NEC) had adopted a report of the disciplinary committee that found the two guilty of gross misconduct.

The former Kieni MP also noted that the party had resolved to suspend National Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi for a period of two years.

The regional legislator also called off the National Delegates Conference (NDC) called by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“There are no factions in Jubilee, there is only one Jubilee, the one that has been following the Constitution,” Kega stated.

“The charged members by assuming duties which are clear and express provision vested upon other organs and officials of the party,” he said.
