A Nairobi court has issued a warrant of arrest for former Agriculture CS Peter Munya.
This was after the Party of National Unity (PNU) party leader failed to show up in court to give evidence in the Sh63 billion Kimwarer and Arror dam case against former CS Henry Rotich and 10 others.
Trial Magistrate Eunice Nyutu on Thursday declined to allow the adjournment sort by the prosecution saying the warrant of arrest has been in force since Monday.
She said that the parties seeking adjournment did not present a formal letter from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) giving reasons why they wanted the matter adjourned.

She ordered that Munya present himself in court within 90 minutes to give evidence.
The defense counsel through Katwa Kigen told the court that the prosecution has been asking for several adjournments and was yet to present a single witness.
He said that the move by the prosecution has affected his client who has never skipped a court date.
