Azimio MPs Threaten to Lead Protesters to Gov’t Offices

A group of lawmakers from Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance now want the President William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza administration to stop assigning blame and fulfill its promises to Kenyans.

The MPs, led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, claimed that the Ruto administration has been blaming the previous administration rather than addressing the problems affecting common Kenyans, including the high cost of living.

“We want answers and if they do not come in the next few days, we will have no option but to lead our supporters into these offices for answers. We will follow these officers anywhere and everywhere for answers and not warnings,” the MPs said.

The legislators also called out the government’s borrowing, something they passionately opposed during their campaigns.

The leaders have stated that they will not give up trying to hold the government accountable especially now that public funds are being misused.
