Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has advised Mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki aka Samidoh to “control his people”.
The DP was speaking during the funeral service of Trade CS Moses Kuria’s sister, Pauline Nyokabi Kuria.
The former Mathira MP urged the entertainer who is also a police officer to sort out his marital affairs that played out in public last year.
“We love Samidoh…but you’re now letting us down,” DP Gachagua said on a light note.

“You need to control your people. Sort your affairs, and if you’re unable to we’ll discipline you,” he added.
According to the second-in-command, the altercation involving the singer, his wife (Edday Nderitu) and his former lover, nominated Senator Karen Nyamu was embarrassing especially since it happened in a foreign land.
Edday and Karen almost came to blows in Dubai in December last year after the latter showed up uninvited to Samidoh’s event.
In a video that went viral, an inebriated Karen joined the singer on stage as he performed his songs.

The legislator who at some point sought to become Nairobi senator, was taken off stage by club security.
Drama, however, ensued after Karen stormed Samidoh’s lounge and briefly sat on his lap.
It is then that his wife grabbed a bottle as if trying to attack her husband’s baby mama.
The UDA nominated senator shares two children with the singer.

Karen has since parted ways with the father of five.
Following the altercation, the legislator was summoned for a disciplinary hearing. She honoured the summon on January 20, 2023 but was allowed more time to respond to the accusations levelled against her.
The matter will be heard on February 24, 2023.
