Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has spoken out in response to allegations that she could face a second impeachment attempt by MCAs.
The impeachment motion, according to the MCAs, is in the process of being written and will be presented to the assembly in due course.
The governor reacted to the news via Facebook by invoking the name of God.
“Good morning. It shall be well in Jesus Mighty Name,” Mwangaza said.

Attempts by Meru MCAs to remove her from office last year were thwarted after the Senate spared her on December 30.
This came after she was impeached on December 14 by 67 of the 69 MCAs present in the Meru County Assembly for five charges, including abuse of authority barely 64 days after taking office.
Mwangaza entered a not-guilty plea to every allegation.
The governor is currently at loggerheads with her deputy, Isaac Mutuma.

On Tuesday, at least 33 Meru MCAs swore to back the impeachment motion once it is tabled in the House.
The MCAs stated that Mwangaza’s impeachment was in the best interest for the county.
Twenty MCAs from the Devolution Empowerment Party, ten from the Jubilee Party, and three from the NOPEU Party are among those supporting the motion.
