No Manifesto for Former Kandara MP Joshua Toro as He Joins Murang’a Governor Race

Former Kandara Member of Parliament Joshua Toro is in the running to succeed Murang’a governor Mwangi wa Iria.

Speaking in Murang’a, the Chairman at National Irrigation Authority (NIA) said he holds the key to transforming the county.

Toro told the press that he decided to join the long list of aspirants after observing the leadership of the county and realizing that there are gaps that only he can fill.

The former lawmaker said his track record and time in public service give him the upper hand in the already congested race.

“The people of Murang’a need a leader who can prudently utilize and manage their resources and help improve their livelihood.

“If the residents will be looking for a candidate with the best track record, I have no doubt I will be the next governor for Murang’a,” he said.

He added that unlike his opponents, he will not be launching a manifesto. He will instead consult the electorate on what projects they deem necessary.

Toro stated that those with manifestos hardly implement them.

“I believe in working closely with the people who will dictate the projects they would like implemented and this brings satisfaction to them,” he added.
