Kakamega, Mombasa Gubernatorial Elections Suspended

Following a mix-up in the printing of ballot papers, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati has halted elections for four elective seats across the country.

The gubernatorial elections in Mombasa and Kakamega counties have been postponed indefinitely.

Chebukati said that this was after it was discovered that the candidates’ descriptions and pictures were inaccurate.

Elections for the Pokot South and Kacheliba constituency are also impacted for the same reason.
