Leave Me Alone – Kalonzo Shouts As DP Ruto Offers Him Job

Kalonzo Musyoka, the leader of the Wiper party, has criticized William Ruto, the UDA’s presidential candidate, and told him he is not interested in his job offer.

The former vice president fired at the DP for comments made during his lower Eastern region in which he implied Raila Odinga had lied to him.

“Yesterday (Friday) he angrily talked a lot about his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta telling him to leave him alone. Now I want to tell Ruto, please leave Kalonzo alone,” he said on Saturday in Narok.

Without mentioning his name, Kalonzo urged the DP to concentrate on gaining support.

He claimed that all he wants is for Kenya as a whole to gain from the new administration.

“Not just about Kalonzo benefitting . He has been saying that I was lied to, I was sidelined. Pilipili usiyo kula yakuwashia nini?” he posed.

Ruto expressed concern for Kalonzo’s treatment in Azimio on July 19 while speaking in Kitui, the latter’s home area, and vowed to save him.

“I know Kalonzo does not like me but it is not for any other reason, he has been incited by that man (Raila), why can’t you allow me to save this man?” Ruto posed.

“This government we are going to form we will give him a job. He has suffered long enough,” he said.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on his part told the electorate that he and Kalonzo were being deceived in Azimio la Umoja.

Sonko defected to Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance on Saturday morning. He was promised seven posts in the national and Mombasa county governments.

He urged the Wiper boss to join the Ruto-led group, alleging that the Azimio leadership has bad intentions for him and the Kamba people.

“Huyu ndugu yangu Stephen Kalonzo si mtu mbaya, lakini pale mahali ambapo ako ndio kule kuna ubaya,” Sonko said.

“Endeleeni kuniombea na kuombea Kalonzo ili Mungu amguze amrudishe vile ameniguza mimi nikafunguka macho.”

The former governor continued by accusing Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua of undermining his bid for governor of Mombasa in order to support ODM’s Abdulswamad Nassir.

He further pointed out that the pair did not have the Kamba people in mind, alleging that no position has been promised to any of the leaders from the region who are supporting his bid.

“Raila hana uzuri na sisi Wakamba. Alipotaja serikali pale KICC tuliskia akitaja Hassan Joho awe waziri wa ardhi…Do you know what position Kibwana or Ngilu will have in his government? Is there any Kamba mentioned in that list? None. I have also told Kalonzo there is no position called Chief Minister,” Sonko stated.

He further reprimanded Karua by tying her to his legal maneuvers, which resulted in the Supreme Court upholding his impeachment.

“Karua si wa kweli. Raila na Karua ndio walinifanyia maovu. I am a Kenyan who is supposed to be protected by the Constitution. I appealed against the government and soon after I was cleared by the IEBC, the next day Karua colluded with Martha Koome to punish me,” Sonko alleged.
