Migori Governor Ayacko Reorganizes Cabinet

Migori Governor Ochillo Ayacko has reorganized his government in an effort to revitalize service delivery.

Four county executives and seven chief officers were reshuffled on Friday.

The governor also appointed current chief officers to fill in three departments in an acting capacity.

“These changes are geared towards re-energizing my administration, aligning departments for service delivery and general welfare of Migori residents,” Ayacko said.

Environment county executive Rahab Robi Chacha has been moved to Education and Youth Services while Mercy Okwanyo has been reassigned to the Public Service Management docket.

Ayacko administration’s poor start in terms of growth has led to reforms and pressure on senior county government officials to perform after locals, particularly on social media, have questioned the scorecard.

“We are doing as best as we can, we had a slow start because of challenges we inherited on huge debts and pending bills, we have paid critical ones,” Ayacko said.
