Former Nyalenda MCA Jacktone Ojwang Ogendo has refuted claims that he assaulted Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai in Kisumu on Sunday.
This came after Kisumu police began looking into an incident where Alai claimed Ojwang had assaulted him.
The claims were filed as an “assault of a VIP incident” at the Kisumu central police station.
“Alai reported that Ojwang head-butted him leaving him with a slight cut on his forehead,” reads the police report.

The reason for the assault was not immediately clear, said the police.
But according to Ogendo, after they returned from the Azimio rally in Busia, Alai threatened him with a firearm at one of the hotels in Kisumu.
“He removed a firearm from his waist and threatened me, so far what I know is that Alai has reported that I assaulted him but actually he is the one who threatened me,” Ogendo said.
The former legislator stated that he will be recording a statement with the police.

The former lawmaker is said to been offended by a tweet published by the Kileleshwa MCA a few months ago.
Alai on his part wants Ogendo investigated for defilement.
Reports indicate that Alai’s assistants and hotel staff intervened to maintain order after the disturbance threatened to spiral out of control.
