UDA Siaya Offices Torched by Rioters

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party offices in Siaya County have been set ablaze by Azimio la Umoja protesters.

This comes days after a similar incident took place in Kisumu. The ruling party offices were last Monday vandalized, valuables stolen and property damaged.

Then, party secretary general Cleophas Malala said he had written to the Registrar of Political Parties seeking compensation from ODM to cover for the damages.

“The letter is ready. We want ODM held responsible for the destruction that occurred and other property,” said Malala, adding that they will not relent from popularizing the party in Kisumu,” said the former Kakamega senator.

“We shall be in Kisumu on Tuesday next week, and we want to tell our members not to be shaken.”

Anti-government protests on Thursday entered day three. In Nairobi, protesters engaged police in running battles in Mathare.
