Wajackoyah and his running mate Justina Wamae went their separate ways after accusing one another of flouting party regulations.

Last week, Wajackoyah had summoned Wamae for a disciplinary hearing.

Wamae was called to testify in response to claims that she had made disparaging and conflicting statements against the Roots Party.

According to a statement by Roots Party legal director Washika Wachira, Wamae had misrepresented the party policies, including saying that Prof Wajackoyah had endorsed Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

Wamae, however, brushed off the summons and said that she would not react to petty behavior.

Later, she declared that out of respect for institutions, she was willing to attend the hearing.

Wamae questioned whether the organizations listed on the notice would appear before the disciplinary committee to question her.

“My expectation is that the copied entities will attend as members of the disciplinary committee,” she stated.

Wamae met a heavy police presence when she arrived for the disciplinary hearing, and was not allowed access to the party offices.

Before her disciplinary hearing, she was prevented from accessing the headquarters by police officers guarding the gate.

Wamae was seen consulting her team on the best course of action.
