You Have Failed the President – Kanini Kega Lashes Out at Mt Kenya Region

Kanini Kega, former Kieni MP, has criticized Mount Kenya region for not backing President Uhuru Kenyatta’s preferred presidential candidate, Raila Odinga.

A day will come, according to Kega, when the area will recognize the value of Uhuru’s support.

“My Boss and my friend. HE Uhuru Kenyatta C in C, Its just a matter of time that Mt. Kenya will realise you meant well for them,” he wrote on Facebook.

Uhuru has often pleaded with the Mt Kenya region to support the Azimio camp and not disappoint him.

Kega, who was seeking a third-term in office, is among candidates who have conceded defeat even before the official announcement from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

“Opening a new chapter, when one door closes another one is opened. Heading to Bomas,” the legislator said.

The former lawmaker said he is looking forward to trying new things.

Also conceding defeat was lawyer Nelson Havi who was contending for the Westlands Parliamentary seat.

He on Wednesday congratulated the incumbent, Tim Wanyonyi of ODM.

“We are the minority in the contest for Westlands. The majority chose Timothy Wanyonyi. They duly deserve him in their wisdom or lack of it. On our part, we are contented with the outcome. Congratulations to you my elder brother, Tim Wanyonyi. Serve well,” he tweeted.

The former LSK president alleged that his agents in Mountain View and Kangemi wards had been bribed.

“Everybody has been bought out. I do t believe in playing dirty so I have left it to him. I want to move on,” Havi said.

Also, comedian MC Jessy (Jasper Muthomi) conceded defeat and congratulated his opponent Shadrack Mwiti who took an early lead.

“I sincerely thank you so much for the time we have interacted during our campaign time. It has been a great journey. A journey of amazing political adventure. A journey of daring hearts. We will continue to engage as we look forward to Next time,” he said.
