National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wa has told opposition chief Raila Odinga to ready himself for 2027 following the launch of lawyer Saitabao Ole Kanchory’s book.
Kanchory launched his explosive book dubbed Why Baba is Not the 5th on Thursday.
According to the Kikuyu MP, Kanchory who was Raila’s chief agent during the 2022 polls, admits to the former prime minister losing the elections to William Ruto.
The legislator advised the opposition leader to get organized now or lose the 2027 elections, should he decide to run.

The third-time MP warned that in the coming polls, he will not have the backing of the “deep state” as was the case in the last polls.
“You’ll have no deep state &no sponsor then. Get organized now otherwise we see another period of tears,” he said.
In the last elections, Raila enjoyed the backing of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and the so called “system”.
He, however, lost to his archrival William Ruto by a little over 200,000 votes.

But Kanchory states that the “deep state” was really backing Dr Ruto and not Raila as was widely claimed.
The lawyer also details how the campaign machinery in the Azimio camp was disorganized and sabotaged Raila’s chances of clinching the presidency.
Kanchory says Raila is the best President, Kenya never had.
“I refer to Raila’s loss as a triple tragedy because in my view he was the best president Kenya never had,” he says.
