Kenya African National Union (KANU) chairman Gideon Moi has appointed 27-year-old Manasse Nyainda as the party’s director of communications.
Moi on Friday described Nyainda as a “versatile journalist and public relations practitioner with expertise in strategic communication, mainstream and digital media operations.”
“I have today appointed Mr Manasse Nyainda as the Director of Communications – KANU. The 27-year-old is a versatile journalist and public relations practitioner with expertise in strategic communication, mainstream and digital media operations,” he said.
Mr Nyainda has been tasked with assisting the party and the national chairman with technical communication matters and providing advice.
He will take the lead in ensuring that policies, programs, and initiatives targeted at raising their public reputations are effectively communicated.
“I congratulate him on this well-deserved appointment,” added the former Baringo Senator.
Mr Nyainda takes over from Joseph Towett who has been appointed to the office of Secretary for Information, Communication and Media Relations in the Party’s Policy Advisory Council.
