Lawyer Miguna Miguna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino are at it on Twitter following Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve’s testimony on Thursday.
DJ Evolve told the court that he and Babu have been friends since 2014 and he has been taking care of him since he got shot.
He also testified that the legislator did not have a gun at the time of the shooting at the B-Club, Kilimani.
“When I met Owino, he had no gun at the Club and I never saw a firearm that shot me,” he said.

“I was having conversations and the next thing I was in a vehicle going to the hospital. I did not see where the bullet came from.”
But according to Miguna, by testifying, the disk jockey was being victimized for a second time.
“As it is right now, DJ Evolve is being victimized twice – with the supervision of the Courts! Completely disgusting! I want to vomit!” Miguna said.
Miguna said Evolve should have been under the protection of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the court should not have relied on his testimony but on ballistic forensic experts.
“This isn’t a case that requires DJ Evolve to testify. Babu would be convicted even if DJ Evolve was dead or incapable of speaking or comprehending what was going on. But Kenya’s legal system is broken and rife with ineptness and corruption. DJ Evolve should have been under protection by the ODPP_KE,” he said.
Babu on his part said Miguna’s sentiments were of no consequence, noting that “criminal matters are based on complaints not balderdash and hearsay.”
“It is sad how he calls himself an Advocate but has never appeared in court to defend even himself. It is sad that an advocate ain’t aware that ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION MECHANISMS exist,” he tweeted.
