I Invented “Tyranny of Numbers” not Mutahi Ngunyi – Moses Kuria Claims

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has claimed that the “Tyranny of numbers” was his brainchild.

Speaking to Citizen TV, the vocal politician said lawyer Mutahi Ngunyi was just the mouthpiece.

“Some people are going out there jumping about Tyranny of numbers. That was my creation. Mutahi Ngunyi was the mouthpiece and the deliverer. We were the real chefs and architects of the Tyranny of numbers,” Kuria said.

He also noted that Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja was also a part of the team that crafted the phrase.

To this, Sakaja responded: “I was just chilling.”

The phrase came to life in 2013 when ODM party leader Raila Odinga went up against Uhuru Kenyatta for the presidency.

It stated that the Jubilee candidate went into the 2013 election with an ethnic advantage standing at more than 6 million votes while their opponents were at around 2.7 million votes.

Kuria also alleged that he has in the last four polls correctly predicted the presidential outcome.

“I have been the chief data analyst in the past four presidential elections. I analyzed the data for Kibaki in 2007 and also Uhuru Kenyatta’s in 2013 and 2017 elections,” added the legislator.
