Atwoli Claims Three OKA MPs Have Received Sh3 Million from DP Ruto

Central Organization of Trade Union (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has hit out at the One Kenya Alliance (OKA).

Speaking on Saturday during the burial of Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju’s mother, Mama Mary Odiyo, Atwoli referred to the OKA principals as “dishonest jokers”.

He warned that the political side could collapse before the 2022 elections slated for August 9.

The vocal trade unionist also alleged that three lawmakers loyal to the OKA camp have received Sh3 million from Deputy President William Ruto.

“There are a number of legislators who are members of OKA but have been secretly meeting and picking bribes of as little as Ksh. 3 million each from Deputy President William Ruto yet they purport to support their principals,” he claimed.

As for the Luhya nation which is represented by OKA principals Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi, Atwoli said they were not fit to lead the people.

He will inform his people on the way forward on December 31, he told the mourners.

“On December, 31, 2021, i shall organise a meeting in Western and give a direction that will see luhya community reaping big in the next government,” he said.

He also maintained that he is solidly behind ODM party leader Raila Odinga who is yet to declare his presidential bid.

Noting that he has nothing against the DP, Atwoli told the people that he (Ruto) is not the right person to lead the country.

“Kenyans are only safe in the hands of Raila and not DP Ruto. I do not hate or hold any grudge against him but ever since they came to me with Cyrus Jirongo during the era of Kanu regime, i dismissed his bids, for he lacked qualities of good leadership,” Atwoli said.
