Churchill Show comedian Jasper Muthomi, alias Mc Jessy, is officially a member of deputy president William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
The funnyman will be vying for Imenti South parliamentary seat.
Jessy said he ditched Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja movement for the DP’s UDA after wide consultations.

He also noted that he could not turn down an invitation to join the party once the second in command called him.
“It’s now clear where the vision is heading. After many days of consultative meetings with my South Imenti people, I have officially been invited to join UDA,” he said.
According to Jessy, the people want a leader affiliated with the hustler movement hence his decision to join UDA.

“The groundwork that has been done has finally landed on the side of the winning team. When I got the call from the chief Hustler Inviting me, I had to heed my People’s call and his call to join the winning Team,” he explained.
“And may the work of redefining South Imenti Now begin,” he added.
Other media personalities eyeing elective posts include Smith Mwatia alias Rufftone who is vying for the Nairobi senatorial seat on a UDA ticket.
Kiss FM’s Jalang’o will be on the ballot for the Lang’ata Parliamentary seat on an ODM ticket.
