DP Ruto Finally Pays Dennis Itumbi a Visit in Hospital

Deputy President William Ruto finally paid his digital strategist Dennis Itumbi a visit at the hospital.

Itumbi is receiving treatment at the Nairobi West Hospital where he was taken on Friday morning.

After the visit, the DP wrote on Twitter, “Pole Dennis. Get well soon. God is the Almighty.”

The blogger was allegedly abducted by people who identified themselves as police officers on Thursday as he was leaving a barbershop in Thindigua, Kiambu county.

He was found six hours later in Lucky Summer naked and brutally beaten up.

He suffered broken limbs and was on Saturday admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after developing pneumonia related complications.

Police have since begun investigating the matter but have unsuccessfully tried to trace the vehicle used by his abductors.

According to the police, the details given by eye witnesses do not match those in official records.

“It will be important to hear from him (Itumbi), not his friends or politicians. We will wait for that moment because much will come out in the direction of the probe and motive,” a senior officer privy to the probe told a local daily.

Politicians loyal to the DP have blamed the alleged abduction on state operatives.
