Gaucho Denies Links With Azimio, Says He is Ready to Meet Ruto

Bunge la Wananchi president Calvin Okoth aka Gaucho has denied ties with Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance.

Speaking to TV47 on Thursday, the fierce Raila Odinga supporter said he is ready to meet President William Ruto.

Gaucho said he neither belongs to Azimio or Kenya Kwanza and was only fighting for the people he leads.

“When President William Ruto calls me, it should be something open. I will meet him, I am just the Bunge president and I represent the people living in the slums. I am neither in Kenya Kwanza nor Azimio,” he said.

He, however, noted that the head of state should not expect him to support him but rather allow him to criticize his administration.

“He should give me room to criticise his work and not ask me to support him politically. I want to know why our people in the slums are still suffering and why the youth are not employed,” he stated.

Gaucho recently ranted about being arrested and not being bailed out by his allies in the opposition.

He was arraigned at the Kiambu Law Courts where he was charged with causing disturbance.
