Here is Azimio Flagbearer Raila’s 10 Point Manifesto

Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance, on Monday released a manifesto outlining his plans for the first 100 days in office should he win in August.

Raila, joined by his running mate, Martha Karua, and hundreds of his followers and political friends, unveiled the 10-point manifesto at Nyayo stadium.

Here is the 10 point agenda:

1.’One County, One Product’

According to Raila, the program is based on manufacturing as the engine for wealth generation and job creation in order to achieve a double-digit economic growth.

The National Government will give material and technical support to each county government for lively industrialisation at the implementation level.

It will also promote a ‘One County One Product’ campaign to increase devolved resources and transform counties.

2. ‘Kazi Kwa Wote’

The Azimio Government intends for manufacturing to be the driving force behind the government’s economic transformation, resulting in increased employment and wealth development in all areas of the economy.

To pioneer the ‘Made in Kenya’ products, the Azimio government will assist the expansion of MSMEs, especially the JuaKali sector, by improving productivity and efficiency.

3. ‘Azimio La Kina Mama’

The Azimio La Umoja government will use this agenda to focus on the key wealth multipliers in the Kenyan community: women.

Women-led enterprises will be able to obtain finance through the initiative, as well as get assistance with other enabling variables such as access to production assets, land tenure, and proportionate representation at all levels of government.

4. ‘Baba care’

BabaCare, which aims to improve Kenya’s health, will ensure that all Kenyans have access to high-quality healthcare services as needed, delivered by motivated health professionals.

Medical insurance for retired public officials will also be provided through the scheme.

5. ‘Maji Kwa Kila Boma’

Raila’s government will implement the Maji Kwa Kila Boma program to significantly reduce water shortages and high costs, and to ensure that everyone, especially the poor, has access to it.

6. ‘Hashtag Inawezekana’

The Azimio government, according to Raila, acknowledges that the youth are the country’s long-term growth and development engine.

The Hashtag Inawezekana initiative will provide young people with the mentality, skills, funding, and technology they need to innovate and even outperform their global peers.

The government will also roll out ‘Baba Connect’ across the country.

7. ‘Inua Jamii, Pesa kwa jamii’

Pesa kwa Jamii (universal basic income) is a social safety scheme that will provide Ksh.6,000 to 2 million low-income families across Kenya.

The money, according to Raila, is an investment and a foundation for a new transformational value chain that will also drive tremendous economic activity and create thousands of localized small-scale firms and enterprises around the country. Millions of employment will be created as a result, and a robust middle class will emerge.

8.  ‘Fukuza Njaa’

According to Raila, the goal of the Fukuza Njaa agenda is to feed the people and generate agricultural abundance, which Kenya has the potential to produce.

Raila stated that his government will establish a climate conducive to smart agriculture, enhanced animal farming, and the expansion of the blue economy.

9. ‘Waste not a Single Child’

According to Raila, this program will be a bold plan to ensure that all Kenyan children, not just some, have access to high-quality education.

Raila’s government also intends to deploy committed instructors to give high-quality education.

10. ‘Administrative Continuity’

The Raila-led government intends to build on and improve upon the achievements of the previous administration.

According to Raila, Africa has a retrogressive mindset that prefers to start over rather than build on previous achievements.

Raila stated during the unveiling of his manifesto that the Azimio government will re-energize and assure the realization of Vision 2030 by building on the successes gained by the current administration.
