Also axed from the party were; Rachael Nyamaye, Advice Mundalo, Executive Director Wambui Gichuru and Joel Kibe.

Others are; Yasir Noor (Deputy Secretary General), Pauline Njoroge (Deputy Organizing Secretary), Jamleck Kamau (National Director of Elections), Maison Leshomo (Women’s League National Chairperson), Agnes Thumbi (Youth League chairperson), Anthony Manyara (Youth Secretariat Coordinator), Nderitu Mureithi as chair of Business Council and Amina Siyad as Parliamentary Secretary.

Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni said the former ruling party was going to deregister all those who have pledged to work with the government.

“All Jubilee members who openly promoted the policies of other parties outside of Azimio coalition be deemed to have ceased from Jubilee and be removed from the register of members,” Kioni stated.

Uhuru Kenyatta on his part told rebels to step aside and allow those willing to advance the Jubilee agenda a chance to serve.

“Those who got the few positions Jubilee had to share are now telling us they will give the party direction. No, their job is to stand firm and defend Jubilee’s manifesto or step aside and give us a chance to select replacements,” Uhuru stated.
