MP Mohammed Ali Off the Hook Following Terror Suspect’s Arrest

Nyali MP Mohammed Ali is off the hook after police arrested terror suspect, Noordin Hassan Abdallah alias Kamanda.

Abdallah was apprehended in Majengo area, Mombasa County, a day after a Kwale court issued a warrant of arrest for the legislator.

The arrest warrant was issued after the suspect skipped court on two separate occasions as did the lawmaker on October 4.

Ali had stood surety for the suspect who police said went missing shortly after being released on bond.

The suspect was charged with the offense of being in possession of radicalization articles vide case number 846/16 before being freed.

In 2019 he had been arrested for allegedly conducting recruitment and radicalization of local youths into Islamic State terror groups in Shimoni, Kwale County.

Again, in 2020, he was caught on camera stealing from two people in Mombasa.

The case will be mentioned on November 18.
