Radio Host Njambi Koikai Declares Interest in Dagoretti South MP Seat

Trace Radio host Njambi Koikai has declared her candidacy for the Dagoretti South Parliamentary seat in the August 9 General Elections.

The media personality claims that as a Dagoretti local, she has firsthand experience with the poor living conditions of her people and has acquired a natural sense of community and service as a result.

“Growing up in Dagoretti, I experienced the harsh living conditions in our community due to lack of resources. The spirit of community and service to others was instilled in me at an early age because we had to take care of each other as family, neighbors and friends,” said Njambi in a lengthy Instagram post.

According to Koikai, Dagoretti South’s issues include a lack of proper healthcare, inadequate security, and basic facilities.

“We have faced numerous challenges as a community due to lack of proper healthcare, inadequate security and basic amenities. People in Dagoretti South aspire to live a better life for themselves and their children,” she added.

She went on to explain that she wants to better the social and economic situation of the residents of Dagoretti South.

“Living in this community has shaped my values and the direction of my life. This has encouraged me to work for my community to improve the social and economic status of our people by working together,” added the radio host.

Her four pillars are; ‘Kazi kwa vijana na kina mama,’ ‘pesa kwa biashara,’ ‘uboreshaji wa maji,’ and ‘uboreshaji wa afya’.
