Independent Presidential hopeful Reuben Kigame on Tuesday unveiled his running mate ahead of the August 9 polls.
The Gospel artist named Irene Ngendo Kamau as his running mate. He assured his supporters that if elected president, he will transform the country whose economy has deteriorated over the years.
“Irene and I believe in the citizens of this country. We believe Kenyans deserve more than what we’ve been getting,” he said.

According to Kigame, their goal is to improve Kenya through empowering women and men and securing the children’s future.
If elected, Kagame stated that he will ensure that Kenyans are not destitute as a result of heavy government spending, which contributes to a high cost of living.
Also picking a woman as their running mate was Prof George Wajackoyah and Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance’s Raila Odinga.

Wajackoyah of Roots Party selected Justina Wamae while Raila picked Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua.
Deputy President William Ruto on the other hand went with Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua, and businessman Jimi Wanjigi chose lawyer and Raila’s former aide, Willis Evans Otieno.
