Ruto is Threatened by Jubilee – Kioni Claims

Embattled Jubilee Party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni claims President William Ruto wants to destroy the former ruling party.

According to Kioni, the head of state is scared of Jubilee’s achievements hence his determination to kill it.

He dared the government to do better than retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.

“Let me tell you, the big story behind Jubilee. The record that was achieved by Jubilee is one that UDA is so scared of and the only way they think they can deal with it is by erasing Jubilee,” he said.

“Since you are the ones in office, just do better than Jubilee. We agree we didn’t do what Kenyans expected, so do better and stop thinking about us throughout.”

He further questioned President Ruto’s involvement in a party that he had previously declared to be dead.

That is double talk on the side of the in power regime, he said.

“You can hear him say Jubilee is a sinking party. Ruto himself said jubilee is a dead party. Why are they then interested in a copy?” he posed.

The former MP asserted that part of the reason Ruto is afraid is because the voters from the Mt Kenya region who helped the party win elections are now switching allegiances to Jubilee.

He argued that they have to put more effort into keeping their promises to Kenyans.
